Fix 1: Close background apps
Emulation is CPU-hungry. Swipe away everything you are not using, especially browsers with many tabs and social apps. On 4 GB RAM phones this alone fixes most stutter. The Delta Emulator mobile app home page notes the app runs best when it owns the CPU.
Fix 2: Drop the video filter
CRT scanline filters cost frames. Switch the app's rendering to plain integer scaling first; add the filter back only if the phone holds full speed with it. This is the single biggest lever in the video settings.
Fix 3: Try frameskip 1
Frameskip tells the emulator to skip rendering every second frame when it falls behind. In 2D games the visual cost is small and the speed gain is large. Raise it only if 1 is not enough.
Fix 4: Disable battery saver for the app
Battery saver throttles the CPU, which is the opposite of what emulation wants. Exempt the emulator in your battery settings, and play plugged in for long sessions. The battery guide balances speed against drain.
Fix 5: Lower the internal resolution
If the emulator offers render resolution options, drop one notch. Classic games were drawn for tiny screens; you will not see the difference, but the GPU will feel it.
Fix 6: Restart the phone
Unfashionable and effective. A fresh boot clears the memory pressure and thermal throttling that accumulate over days of use.
Fix 7: Reinstall clean
As a last resort, back up saves with the save transfer guide, uninstall, and reinstall the Delta Emulator XAPK fresh. Corrupted caches cause more mystery lag than anyone admits.
