Why people hunt old versions
Usually one of three reasons: a favorite game ran better on an older build, the new version changed something they liked, or their old phone cannot run the current one. All three are legitimate frustrations. Before you go digging, check the current build on the Delta Emulator for Android home page and read the trade-offs, because downgrading an emulator is riskier than downgrading most apps.
The three risks
Security: older builds miss later fixes. Source trust: old versions mostly live on mirror sites with no testing behind them, which is where repackaged malware hides. Save compatibility: save-state formats change between versions, and a downgrade can silently corrupt a hundred-hour save.
When an old version is the right call
One case: your device genuinely cannot run the current build (below Android 7.0). Everything else, a settings tweak usually fixes. Lag on the current build? Try the performance fixes first. A game that misbehaves? The ROM guide covers per-game settings that beat downgrading in most cases.
Our policy
This site publishes the current build because it is the one that cleared the bench. We do not distribute old builds, and we recommend against installing them from unverified mirrors. If a future version regresses on your device, tell us: that is exactly the kind of report that shapes the verdict.
